Job Overview
A Veterinary Clinic Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing excellent customer service while supporting the daily operations of a veterinary practice. This role combines administrative responsibilities, client communication, and coordination with veterinary staff to ensure a positive experience for both pet owners and patients.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries regarding appointments, services, and clinic policies.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient and client records in the clinic’s management system.
- Process payments, invoices, and insurance documentation as needed.
- Coordinate communication between veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage prescription refill requests and direct medical questions to appropriate staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Handle sensitive situations with empathy, including emergency visits and end-of-life care appointments.
