Overview
We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! This is a fast-paced role where every day brings something new, and we are looking for someone who thrives on multitasking while keeping a positive, professional attitude. Experience in the Veterinary Field is required.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the clinic to the moment they leave.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently. We currently use the PIMS Avimark.
- Handle medical collections and process payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Assist veterinarians with patient intake, including gathering relevant information about the animal’s health and behavior.
- It is an asset but not a requirement to provide basic animal handling, restraint, and care during visits, ensuring the safety of both pets and staff.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care advice.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the reception area and waiting room.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Experience
Candidates should possess a combination of relevant experience that may include:
- Veterinary experience or working in a veterinary clinic setting. REQUIRED (1-2 years minimum).
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication with staff and clients.
- Experience in medical collection processes.
- Familiarity with animal husbandry practices, including dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming.
