Job Overview
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist with a passion for people and their pets to join our team. This role involves representing our practice, welcoming guests, providing excellent client care and assisting our doctor and staff as needed.

Responsibilities
– Greet clients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor

– Check in patients, obtaining patient history and charting information.

– Support veterinarians and staff with various tasks as needed – Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and efficiently.

– Special projects and manager assistance.

– Answer medical questions, schedule appointments, review patient history and be an advocate for our patients and clients.

– Present estimates and invoices, gain payments, process daily reports and balance cash drawer.

– Process insurance claims, fill prescriptions and handle written script requests.

– Perform a variety of administrative duties including filing, data entry, and inventory management.

Skills
– Knowledge of veterinary terms, medications and pet health care
– Veterinary front office experience, multi-tasking, decision-making in a high volume and at times, demanding environment.
– Experience in client care, phone etiquette and collection of payment with compassion and respect for our clients.
– Ability to identify and anticipate the needs of clients and team members
– Strong veterinary assistant skills and stress management.

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
