Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, quick-learning, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess strong critical thinking skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a passion for providing excellent client and patient care. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for pet owners and their beloved animals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in clients and their pets with professionalism and warmth
  • Answer and manage multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments efficiently
  • Provide accurate information about services, pricing, and policies
  • Handle client inquiries and concerns with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Process payments, invoices, and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth clinic operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Assist with administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and inventory management
  • Handle urgent situations calmly and prioritize tasks effectively

Requirements:

  • Strong critical thinking skills to assess and respond to client needs effectively
  • Excellent multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • A quick learner who can adapt to new software, protocols, and procedures
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of one year prior experience in a veterinary clinic
  • Proficiency in computer systems and scheduling software preferred
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Compassionate and empathetic demeanor towards both pets and their owners
