The beautiful Alabama 4-H Center, a full-service camp & conference facility nestled within 264 acres of beautiful forest land on Lay Lake in Columbiana, is looking for housekeeping staff to join the team.
The Housekeeper performs basic housekeeping duties, including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms and restrooms, doing laundry, sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, and completing other cleaning-related tasks as needed.
Temporary Employment Services (TES) is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of Auburn University. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees for a wide variety of occupations. Temporary employees are hired for reasons such as assisting in the place of a regular employee, additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads, special projects, seasonal work, and emergencies.
AU student employees are not eligible for TES.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry washer and dryers.
- Occasionally set up and break down tables, chairs, and audio‑visual equipment for special events (conferences, wedding receptions, luncheons).
- Perform minor maintenance duties, including changing light bulbs and other custodial tasks.
- Operate power and floor‑cleaning machinery.
- Receive, stock, organize, and unload supplies from outside vendors for various supply rooms and closets.
- Maintain all safety standards and other regulations within the Alabama 4-H Center and Auburn University guidelines.
