Role overview

We are seeking a Tax Accountant to perform a variety of bookkeeping, tax, and accounting tasks and to support our managers, staff, and clients. You will handle tax return preparation and review, maintain client financial records, and contribute to the smooth daily operation of the office. This role is ideal for someone who cares about accuracy, efficiency, and client service.

Key responsibilities

  • Review aged accounts receivable reports weekly.
  • Prepare required daily general ledger entries and month‑end journal entries.
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Manage client accounting software accounts (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Maintain and manage monthly client business accounts.
  • Handle digital and hard‑copy filing using QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
  • Draft and manage correspondence, including letters, emails, and phone calls, on behalf of CK2 Financials and related entities.
  • Perform payroll‑related tasks, including verifying timesheets, preparing payroll reports, and generating checks for signatures.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Prepare summaries and memos for meetings with supervisors and team members.
  • Collaborate closely with management on daily operations and assist with departmental projects as needed.
  • Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors.

Required skills and experience

  • Experience with digital work order applications and systems.
  • Experience with cloud storage applications and systems.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • 3+ years of office administration experience preferred.

Education

  • BS in Accounting or Finance (required).

Experience

  • 3 years of professional work experience.
  • 1+ years of computer accounting experience.

Compensation, schedule, and benefits

  • Compensation: Salary + commission; expected range $40,000 – $50,000 per year.
  • Job type: Full‑time.
  • Location: In‑office position at our Bala Cynwyd, PA office.
  • Approximately 10–20 company‑scheduled remote days per year.
