Stavros Niarchos Fellowship, Classical Art Jobs in Boston at Museum of Fine Arts

The Stavros Niarchos Fellowship in Classical Art is an exciting opportunity for curatorial experience in the Department of Art of Ancient Greece and Rome. Curatorial duties may include improvement of records in the MFA’s collections-management database, object handling, object research, digitization of archives and archaeology materials, assisting with gallery work and digital projects, assisting the department in its diverse engagement program and presentations to the general public. This is a nine-month term position.

REQUIREMENTS

Advanced graduate student in Classical Art or Archaeology strongly preferred.

Excellent research, clerical, organizational and communication skills required.

Attention to detail and accuracy a must.

Applicants must be able to provide proof of U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.

SALARY AND SCHEDULE

Nine-month term position, 28 hours per week

September 2026 – May 2027, with some flexibility in the start and end dates

Hourly Rate: $28.60

This position is affiliated with the United Auto Workers union.
