About The Hutchins Center

The mission of the Hutchins Center is to improve fiscal and monetary policy quality and public understanding. It leverages expertise from scholars, government, academia, think tanks, and business through research, events, and debates.

Position Location

This is a hybrid role, combining in-office work in Washington, DC, with two remote days per week.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Hutchins Center involves administrative tasks, project support, and office management. Responsibilities include organizing meetings, managing calendars and travel, event planning, project assistance, and office logistics.

Project Support (50%)

Support a multi-year climate change project involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring organization and communication.

Act as liaison for project personnel, manage deadlines and schedules, support virtual and in-person meetings, and handle communications regarding contracts and deliverables.

Manage relationships with authors and researchers, supporting their needs and deadlines.

Coordinate with project leads to meet project timelines and objectives.

Administrative Support (50%)

Manage calendars of senior scholars, prepare for meetings, handle correspondence, and anticipate their needs.

Arrange travel, process reimbursements, and maintain expense records.

Screen calls and emails, receive visitors, and maintain records of activities and publications.

Handle expenses, invoices, office supplies, and support office operations and logistics.

Manage sensitive information discreetly and serve as backup for other projects and staff as needed.
