Role overview

We are looking for a responsible Staff Accountant to perform a variety of bookkeeping, tax, and accounting tasks for our diverse client base. You will support managers and staff, assist with daily office needs, and help ensure our clients receive accurate, timely financial information. If you are always looking for the most efficient way to complete tasks without sacrificing quality, this role is for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Review aged accounts receivable reports on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare required daily general ledger entries and month‑end journal entries.
  • Maintain and manage client accounting software accounts (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Maintain monthly client business accounts and related schedules.
  • Complete digital and hard‑copy filing using tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
  • Draft and manage professional correspondence, including letters, emails, and phone calls, on behalf of CK2 Financials and related entities.
  • Perform payroll‑related tasks, including verifying timesheets, creating payroll reports, and generating checks for signatures.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Prepare summaries and memos for meetings with supervisors and team members.
  • Work closely with management on daily operations and assist with departmental projects as needed.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors.

Required skills and experience

  • Experience with digital work order applications and systems.
  • Experience with cloud storage applications and systems.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • 3+ years of office administration experience preferred.

Education

  • BS in Accounting or Finance (required).

Experience

  • 2 years of professional work experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of computer accounting experience.
  • Candidates with 0–2+ years of experience will be considered if they hold a BS in Accounting.

Compensation, schedule, and benefits

  • Compensation: Salary + commission; expected range $35,000 – $45,000 per year.
  • Job type: Full‑time.
  • Location: In‑office position at our Bala Cynwyd, PA office.
  • Approximately 10–20 company‑scheduled remote days per year.
