Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time onsite office manager to oversee daily administrative operations and managerial aspects of a small business. Central Vermont Truck Repair is a family owned company that was started in 1985 by Michael Nordmeyer and is now run by his son, Ethan Nordmeyer. We currently employ 3 full-time mechanics and focus on large diesel trucks.

The ideal candidate will bring strong office management skills, excellent communication abilities, provide great customer service, and a have a good work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls and acting as the office’s primary point of contact during business hours
  • Overseeing the scheduling of repairs and managing urgent calls
  • Perform bookkeeping activities including invoicing, expense tracking, paying bills, and payroll (using tools such as QuickBooks)
  • Assisting with inventory of parts, equipment, and office supplies

Qualifications

  • Experience with office managing and/or small business management is preferred, but not necessarily required
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and great customer service
  • Experience with using a computer for record keeping and prior use of a program like QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while demonstrating excellent time management skills
  • Experience with mechanical work or parts inventory preferred, but not necessarily required

Benefits

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
