Position Summary

Green New Energy Materials (GNEM) is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations at our advanced lithium-ion battery separator manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, maintaining accurate shipping documentation, communicating with internal teams, and ensuring products are shipped safely and efficiently to customers.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable using computer systems, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are strongly preferred to support collaboration with global and cross-functional teams. GNEM manufactures advanced battery separator materials used in electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare shipping paperwork including bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate daily outbound shipments with carriers and internal warehouse personnel.
  • Schedule freight pickups and deliveries.
  • Verify shipment accuracy by comparing orders with packing documentation.
  • Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory information into company computer systems.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems.
  • Communicate shipment status with internal departments and carriers.
  • Assist with receiving incoming materials as needed.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and transaction recording.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous shipping, warehouse, logistics, or clerical experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Experience using ERP, WMS, or shipping software.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience.

  • Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Team-oriented with a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Exposure to warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated production areas.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
