Sr. Online Enrollment Counselor – REMOTE – USA

Our client manages enrollment-related projects and partnerships in order to maximize enrollments and drive the team to increase yield. This position plans and performs activities to maximize enrollment goals, as well as represents our client in all internal and external functional enrollment activities.

Additionally, this position encourages prospective students by progressing them from inquiry to enrolled status and providing them with all of the information necessary for successful entry into our client's programs.

This position is primarily remote but may require occasional in-person attendance and the ability to travel to other locations.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the enrollment funnel from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring goals are met and contributing toward enrollment growth for each cycle.
  • Develop and manage a high-value recruitment pipeline, including partner outreach, lead generation strategies, and conversion to enrollment.
  • Provide consultative, student-centered advising for complex applicants; assess fit, readiness, and barriers to enrollment.
  • Create and execute individualized enrollment plans.
  • Own outcomes for assigned markets/populations by monitoring funnel metrics, maintaining accurate CRM documentation, and adjusting outreach based on data.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable regulations; apply sound judgment in documentation, confidentiality, and communication.
  • Coordinate with Enrollment, Student Financial Services, Advising, Registrar, and Student Success to remove barriers, escalate issues, and ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Mentor and support enrollment staff through coaching, shadowing, and sharing best practices; contribute to quality assurance and training.
  • Oversee the enrollment process of a special population, acting as liaison between enrollment counselors and the relevant program/department to ensure knowledge sharing occurs, efficient process is followed, and goals are met.
  • Partner with Marketing and stakeholders to align messaging, keep recruitment materials current, and improve conversion through targeted communications.
  • Represent our client at high-impact recruitment events and partner engagements (virtual and in person); deliver presentations and secure leads to drive enrollment.
  • Work during high-impact time periods, including the month prior to enrollment, the first two weeks of a semester, enrollment events, and orientations.
  • All duties as assigned.

Key Competencies

  • Enrollment/recruitment and consultative sales skills; self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Strong technical proficiency (CRM, SIS, MS Office/Teams) and ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience with Salesforce and Jenzabar a plus.
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of workforce/industry trends to align program recommendations with career goals.
  • Cultural competence and experience supporting diverse, non-traditional adult learners.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others, facilitate virtual/in-person presentations, manage high-volume communications, and maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and mission alignment.

  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings/weekends) to support enrollment cycles and events.

Education

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience within higher education enrollment/sales or 2 years working in enrollment at our client, with 3 consecutive enrollment terms of met/exceeded enrollment goals. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Experience working with diverse populations and/or adult learners.

Salary: $55,000
