Overview
DP Doors & Millwork, LLC is a growing manufacturing company serving the homebuilding industry throughout the greater Gallatin Valley, Helena, Missoula, Salt Lake City, and surrounding markets. We specialize in prefinished doors, trim, custom millwork, and hardware.
This is a salaried role responsible for overseeing production scheduling for multiple locations within our company, including trim, finishing, doors and shipping operations. The Scheduling Coordinator works closely with all departments, including department leads, and reports directly to the VP of Production. This is a hands-on, office-based position typically requiring 10-hour shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Facility & Team Structure
· Oversee daily production schedule tracking across both facilities
· Monitor schedule performance and communicate deviations with solutions to both internal partners and external customers
· Coordinate across departments to align production priorities and workflow
· Participate in a production-floor-focused team environment
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate scheduling databases and production timelines
· Manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards
· Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are available to meet production needs
· Collaborate with Sales to resolve issues prior to production
· Communicate schedule updates, requirements, and delivery timing with customers
· Utilize artificial intelligence models to explore ways to systematize scheduling and develop data analytics tools to help enhance production efficiency
· Demonstrate ownership and accountability in meeting production goals
· Perform additional duties as assigned
Industry Experience & Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years previous experience required in Scheduling manufacturing products in a high paced company with multiple locations
· Millwork, finishing, or prefinished product experience preferred
Technical Skills & Tools
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail (required)
· Excel proficiency (required)
· Strong communication skills (required)
· Ability to learn and manage proprietary production scheduling and shipping software (required)
· Familiarity with artificial intelligence models and their use in manufacturing environments
· Clean driving record sufficient for company insurance eligibility preferred
· Experience with ERP, SAP, FileMaker, or similar production management systems preferred
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
While this is an office-based position, the role does operate within an active manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery, production equipment, and chemical finishing systems, and the Company does encourage a teamwork environment where all employees are expected to help in various capacities when needed. Consequently, the physical demands of the role may occasionally exceed those of a traditional office-based role. Candidates should be prepared to periodically:
· stand for extended periods throughout a shift
· lift up to 35 lbs. periodically
· work safely in an active manufacturing environment
· make miscellaneous local deliveries as needed
