Duties
- Act as the central liaison between patients, dental or medical providers, and insurance companies to coordinate treatment plans and scheduling
- Review treatment proposals with patients, explaining procedures, costs, and payment options clearly and confidently
- Ensure all patient information is accurately documented in the electronic health record system
- Schedule appointments efficiently while managing cancellations and rescheduling to optimize provider availability
- Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with understanding coverage details
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns promptly and professionally
- Support medical or dental administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Proven ability to support medical or dental administrative functions effectively
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with insurance verification and patient billing processes is a plus
