FLOORING SALES ASSISTANT – INSIDE/OUTSIDE
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The main objective of this position is to service the needs of the customer base that contact our store and help expand existing business through sales calls and assist in showroom sales. This individual is expected to be aware of and support all goals relating to sales plans and costs and to conduct him/herself in a professional manner conducive to generating a team attitude toward maintaining effective customer relationships.
This individual will assist the inside and outside sales people, including site visits and measuring. Flooring experience is preferred but not required, training will be provided. A minimum of 2 years of customer service or inside sales experience is required.
Interest in interior design is a plus. The ideal candidate will enjoy visualizing room renovations and color combinations to suit the customer’s objectives for the space.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide consistent, superior service by ensuring that all customer needs are recognized and serviced, and satisfaction is highly maintained at all times. You must enjoy interacting with people and possess a helpful attitude.
- Assist Operations Manager with data entry, order processing and inventory control.
- Assist Sales staff with their paperwork, filing, phone calls and organizing schedules.
- After learning the product lines, you will be expected to cover the showroom for walk-in sales and customer service for several weekdays and rotating weekends.
