Our client is seeking a detail-oriented team member to support the onboarding and ongoing compliance of professional drivers in a fast-paced transportation environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating new hire paperwork, tracking compliance documentation, and ensuring drivers are properly set up and qualified within company systems.
This position offers a positive and supportive office atmosphere where employees are valued and recognized for their contributions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break.
Starting pay is $19.00–$20.00 per hour, with an additional monthly bonus program offering the opportunity to earn an extra $150–$350 per month based on performance goals.
Job Duties:
- Process driver applications and maintain accurate applicant records
- Run Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) and evaluate applicants using established insurance guidelines
- Prepare onboarding paperwork and set up new hires in company systems
- Coordinate and assist with orientation preparation for incoming drivers
- Maintain driver files and ensure required documentation remains current
- Track insurance and DOT compliance information
- Update expired licenses, medical cards, and other required documents in company databases
- Scan, organize, and maintain both electronic and paper personnel records
- Set up fuel cards and direct deposit information for new employees
- Process insurance cancellation and reinstatement notices
- Complete employment verification requests for former employees
- Communicate professionally with drivers, applicants, insurance providers, and internal departments
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent office, administrative, recruiting, HR support, transportation office, logistics office, or compliance-related experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience maintaining employee records, personnel files, compliance documents, or confidential information
- Professional phone, email, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to work independently
- Experience with onboarding, recruiting support, human resources administration, transportation administration, driver qualification files, DOT compliance, or insurance tracking is highly preferred
- Comfortable learning and navigating multiple computer systems and databases
