Receptionist (phone/email) / Administrative Assistant
We are a small, local, employee-owned business in Homer, Alaska, looking for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for our quickly growing company. This position is best suited for an applicant looking for long-term, reliable employment who enjoys staying organized, providing a great customer experience, and effectively managing customer expectations and workflows. Candidates must be friendly, dependable, detail-oriented and professional with a polite demeanor and positive attitude. Previous experience working in an office setting is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answering Multi-line Phone
- Scheduling Appointments
- Providing Outstanding Customer Service
- Basic Marketing
- Data entry, Digital Filing and Document Management
- Maintaining Inventory and Ordering Office Supplies
- Running errands
- “Special Projects” that may include organizing information, procuring specific supplies, and other tasks for managers or executives.
Qualifications:
- Excellent computer skills with familiarity of the most common office programs (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Google Drive/Apps/Calendar, etc.)
- Ability to provide consistent, excellent customer service
- Ability to professionally manage and direct customer expectations and to politely handle interactions with all kinds of personalities
- An eager attitude with the desire to continue in the position long-term
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive Salary – $17 to $21 per hour (dependent on experience) following a 30-day trial period.
- Raises based on clearly defined performance metrics (guaranteed raises at regular intervals provided performance metrics are met).

Requirements:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Office administration: 1 year (Preferred)

Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, ~9-10 AM to ~4-5 PM (somewhat flexible)
- Schedule can be altered somewhat to work around employee’s needs so long as absences from the office are scheduled in advance.

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
