Real Estate Paralegal – Hybrid Opportunity (may reside in Boston or Houston)
Join Seyfarth Shaw LLP as a Real Estate Paralegal in a hybrid role based in Boston or Houston. This position supports attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including documentation, due diligence, closing, and post-closing activities related to acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
Responsibilities include:
Ordering and reviewing title commitments, exception documents, and surveys, and liaising with title companies and surveyors to resolve issues.
Preparing and managing contract critical dates and closing checklists.
Coordinating all aspects of closings, including preparing conveyance documents and closing statements.
Handling post-closing tasks such as preparing indices, organizing binders, and monitoring deliverables.
Drafting correspondence, memoranda, and initial documents for review.
Ordering searches like UCC liens and other due diligence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years’ experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
Preferred experience with titles and surveys.
Law firm or in-house experience considered.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant databases.
Excellent legal research, writing, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, entity formation, and document review.

This position is based in Boston, MA 02210, or Houston, TX 77002, with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite).
