Radiology Scheduler Jobs in Melbourne, FL at University Center Imaging
MUST HAVE PRIOR medical scheduling experience, particularly in Radiology. We are hiring a Full-Time, Radiology Scheduler for our growing team. HOURS: Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
- 3 years of related medical scheduling experience, preferably in Radiology
- Must have knowledge of radiology exams
- Good organizational skills and proficient in multi-tasking
- Great customer service and phone skills are a must
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
ESSENTIAL WORKGROUP JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Schedule diagnostic imaging procedures
- Enter and update all appointments in computer
- Operate front office equipment (phones, fax, copy, credit machines, etc.)
- Document physician prescriptions. Assure physician prescriptions contain all information
- Keep up to date with insurance providers, new procedures, and preps.
- Pull patient work queue for next day appointments.
- Assure patients are processed in a timely manner per HIPAA guidelines.
- Prescreen patients scheduled for MRI and CT appointments.
- Collect, organize and distribute scheduling papers (CT,MRI,MAMMO,US, etc).
SKILLS:
- Ability to enter, update, store, and retrieve data base information using a computer.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to collect and clearly convey information.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and organize work.
- Detail oriented and adaptable.
- Knowledge of clerical methods and techniques, office equipment and machines
- Ability to work as a team; collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, physicians, staff and patients.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines.
