What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Answer phones and schedule appointments for patients based on provider referrals
- Verify insurance and manage patient portal inquiries
- Reschedule appointments as needed and assist with emails from nursing staff
- Maintain a thorough understanding of phone center operations and provide cross-coverage for team members
- Adapt to frequent scheduling updates and provider preferences to ensure efficient service
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be located in TN, GA, or AL
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in information management in a medical office or similar setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and legal aspects of medical information management is preferred
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Completion of a program of study in medical terminology and legal aspects of medical information management
- Previous experience in a scheduling role within a healthcare environment
