What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Provide customer service support for inbound/outbound pharmacy calls from members, providers, and pharmacies
- Handle and record pharmacy calls in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards
- Process pharmacy prior authorization requests and appeals
- Communicate plan benefit information, including formulary details and prior authorization outcomes
- Assist with clerical tasks and day-to-day pharmacy call center operations
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- At least 1 year of related experience, including customer service or call center experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicable software programs
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, clients, and members
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and/or active state pharmacy technician license
- Experience in the healthcare industry
