Rescue Rooter in West Valley, UT is looking for a Plumbing Permit/ Job Closer to join our team.
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to assist the Service Center with the processing building permits and inspections.

  • Answers inquiries and requests about permitting and inspection stages. Requires customer service skills, ascertaining the needs of the customer and providing appropriate assistance and information; responds to escalated customer service issues.
  • Performs data entry tasks, and issues the appropriate documentation with compliance to established building codes and regulations.
  • Coordinates all commercial and private inspection and permitting documentation to enforce compliance with Utah Building Codes for Plumbing and Mechanical trades, e.g., structural, mechanical, plumbing building/development.
  • Performs both routine and non-routine administrative duties, as dictated by the nature of the task, e.g., data entry, records keeping, filing, basic calculations, typing.
  • Receives telephone inquiries ascertains the nature of the call, and resolves personally or directs it to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Performs a variety of essential record keeping duties, and maintains department record keeping and filing systems relevant to permitting.
  • Performs various fiscal tasks, e.g., applying for inspections and coordinating fees and payments for permitting.
  • Generates correspondence, memos, agendas, orders, reports, forms, permits or other relevant materials appropriate to the assigned department.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating all code revisions and documentation.
  • Receives and distributes all inward and outward office mail.
  • Performs permit searches, revisions and corrections.
  • Uses a camera to capture images of final completed work to verify project at completion.


Qualifications

Related experience and or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. An understanding of air conditioning, heating, electrical and/or plumbing is desired. A valid state driver’s license is required.
Work experience must also include online computer systems and personal computer hardware and software products. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications

Pay:
$17.00 to $20.00 Hour

Work Hours:

Full Time Mon – Fri 8AM – 5PM
