We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our growing healthcare organization. In this role, you’ll help ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time for employees and contractors across multiple entities and states. What You’ll Do

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salaried, full-time, part-time, PRN, and contract employees.
  • Review and audit timecards, PTO, overtime, shift differentials, and payroll records for accuracy.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, pay changes, promotions, transfers, direct deposits, tax elections, benefit deductions, and terminations.
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, overtime, reimbursements, retroactive pay, garnishments, and payroll adjustments.
  • Process payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k), garnishments, child support, and tax levies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for Finance and Human Resources.
  • Assist with payroll tax reconciliation, year-end processing, and W-2 preparation.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll processing and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll.
  • Experience with payroll/HRIS systems such as Isolved, ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of payroll calculations, timekeeping systems, payroll tax regulations, and wage and hour laws.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
  • Healthcare payroll experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple business entities and locations.
  • Experience with leave administration and timekeeping systems.
