Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support payroll administration, employee record management, and general office operations. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in developing experience in payroll processing, administrative support, data management, and business operations.

The Payroll Assistant will work closely with payroll and administrative teams to help maintain accurate records, organize documentation, and support routine payroll-related activities while ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing payroll documentation and employee records
  • Review information for accuracy and completeness before processing
  • Enter, update, and maintain payroll-related data in company systems
  • Support employee onboarding and record maintenance activities
  • Help prepare reports, spreadsheets, and administrative documents
  • Maintain confidential employee information in accordance with company policies
  • Respond to internal payroll inquiries and route requests appropriately
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and document management tasks
  • Support scheduling, correspondence, and general office operations
  • Collaborate with team members to improve administrative workflows

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or coursework in business, accounting, administration, or related field is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong data entry and recordkeeping abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Previous office experience is beneficial but not required

Pay: $25.00 – $31.00 per hour
