Job Summary:

Vanguard is seeking an experienced and compassionate Patient Navigator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and support. Your experience in the medical industry will help ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for patients in our reconstructive surgery clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls from patients, providing information and assistance.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently while coordinating with providers to optimize the clinic’s workflow.
  • Handle patient registration, including gathering and verifying essential information and insurance details.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Address patient inquiries about clinical services, procedures, and pre-operative guidelines with clarity and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
  • Perform administrative support tasks, including medical records management, data entry, and faxing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or associate’s degree; relevant certification in medical reception is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered service.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Working Conditions:

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring on-site presence at the clinic. Flexibility in scheduling may be necessary to accommodate patient needs.
