Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support across various practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law, patent law, and workers’ compensation law. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using various platforms to support case development and legal analysis.
- Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems to ensure easy retrieval and security.
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Support litigation processes through document review, preparation of discovery materials, and case file management.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining organized records.
- Conduct client interviews under supervision to gather pertinent information for case assessment.
- Coordinate project management activities across multiple practice areas to ensure timely progress.
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and providing executive administrative support when needed.
- Assist in the preparation for hearings or meetings by compiling relevant documentation and summaries.
Experience
- Proven paralegal experience within a law office setting supporting multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, or workers’ compensation law.
- capable of taking a test prior to hire.
- Familiarity with legal research tools.
- Experience with legal case management software.
- Knowledge of various areas of law.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Ability to perform thorough legal research and document review efficiently.
- Clerical experience involving filing systems, data entry, proofreading, transcription services, and document management systems.
- Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Pay: $28.00 – $43.00 per hour
