Optometry Technician Jobs in Forest Lake at North Woods Optics
Our mission is to provide patients with quality care and friendly staff. We are looking to hire an experienced optometry technician that is able to be cross trained for front desk and optical responsibilities.
- Perform pre-exam testing on patients including but not limited to visual acuities, auto-refraction, visual fields, retinal photos, OCT, reading glasses prescriptions, etc.
- Take detailed patient history and enter into EMR.
- Perform application and removal instructions for new contact lens wearers.
- Work efficiently to keep the doctors’ schedules on time.
- Work with team members to provide quality care to patients.
- Assist front desk with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Other office duties include but are not limited to answering phones, taking payments, scanning charts, faxing, etc.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an optometry technician
- Detail oriented
- Able to manage time efficiently
- Able to work in a face-paced environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer knowledge
