Optometric Assistant/Receptionist Jobs in Elk Grove at Eye Place Optometry
We are a small, patient-focused private practice committed to providing quality eye care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are looking for a reliable, friendly and enthusiastic person with good communication/inter-personal skills to join our team. Great opportunity to build a long-term career.
Some experience in optometry/optical is preferred but not required. We are willing to train if you have the right personality and motivation to learn. You will be crossed-trained in all areas. Duties include:
- Answering phone, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility
- Pre-testing patients, lensometry, administering any special testing
- Contact lens training
- Assisting patients with frame selection in optical, explaining vision benefits, calculating fees, taking measurements for glasses orders
- Dispensing glasses/contact lenses, adjusting frames
- Filing insurance claims
- Maintaining a clean work environment
The position is for Part-time with potential for full-time. Hours to be determined. Must be available to work during office hours: M-F 9-6 and Sat 9-3. Flexible schedules are preferred. Must be available to work SATURDAY.
Salary: TBD based on experience
