About the Position
Triangle Ophthalmology is a small, physician-owned practice focused on high-quality, medically oriented eye care. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to join our small but mighty team.
This is a hybrid role with a clear growth path:
- You will be trained to assist with patient care in the clinic (technician role)
- You will also provide front desk coverage at the end of the day, including patient check-out and scheduling
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both direct patient interaction and hands-on clinical work, and who wants to grow into a more advanced role over time.
Daily Workflow
- Early afternoon: Assist in the clinic with patient workups and flow
- Late afternoon: Transition to front desk responsibilities, including check-out and end-of-day coordination
ResponsibilitiesClinical (Primary Role)
- Assist with patient intake and preliminary workups (training provided)
- Measure vision and prepare patients for the physician
- Support clinic flow, rooming, and patient movement
- Learn and assist with diagnostic testing over time
Front Desk (End-of-Day Coverage)
- Check patients in and out
- Collect copays and outstanding balances
- Clearly communicate charges and next steps with patients
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Help ensure a smooth and accurate end-of-day process

Experience
- Prior medical office, dental office, or customer-facing experience preferred
- Ophthalmology or optometry experience is a plus, but not required
- We will train the right candidate with strong work ethic and communication skills
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Friday, approximately 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
