Alexander Steele is working with a leading manufacturing business that is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the smooth running of day-to-day logistics, warehousing, and site operations. This is a key role ensuring compliance, coordination of transport schedules, and efficient communication across departments.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Coordinate daily transport operations including driver scheduling
- Oversee inbound and outbound stock movements between production sites, third‑party warehouses, and co‑packers.
- Maintain accurate stock control, reconciliation between system and physical inventory, and container coordination.
- Manage administrative duties such as purchase orders, waste disposal, and facilities support.
- Support compliance requirements, ensuring all documentation and reporting are up to date.
- Liaise with production, quality, and planning teams to align inventory and order processes.
- Act as a site representative for Health & Safety, including Fire Warden and First Aider responsibilities (training provided).
- Previous experience in operations, logistics, or transport coordination within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, and warehouse operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
