Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy office environment. Basic understanding of boating and general marine industry preferred, but not required.

This vital role ensures smooth administrative functions, maintains an efficient workflow, and provides exceptional support to staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming and productive workplace. As an Office Manager, you will be the backbone of our office, driving efficiency and fostering a positive atmosphere for everyone.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors, handling inquiries, and ensuring a professional first impression
  • Coordinate calendar management and scheduling for meetings, appointments, and events using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
  • Perform data entry, filing, and record keeping with precision to ensure all administrative records are current and organized
  • Handle clerical tasks such as proofreading documents, managing correspondence, and supporting bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks or similar software
  • Support office management activities including supply ordering, equipment maintenance, and vendor communication
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients or visitors with their needs both in person and via phone or email

Skills

  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
  • Experience with office management systems and administrative procedures in a fast-paced environment. Prior Marine or Boating experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
  • Knowledge of office equipment such as multi-line phones, fax machines, printers, and scanners
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Clerical experience including data entry, proofreading, filing systems, and calendar management
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping software like QuickBooks or similar platforms is a plus
  • Personal assistant or medical/dental receptionist experience is advantageous for understanding specialized workflows
