Life Steps Day Habilitation Program – Freehold, NJ

Life Steps is a DDD-certified adult day habilitation program dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities through meaningful programming, life skills development, wellness initiatives, and community integration. We are seeking a warm, organized, motivated individual to become the face of our office and help us cultivate a welcoming and professional environment for our members and families.

Position Overview

The Front Desk Administrator plays a key role in the daily operations of our center. This position requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced human services environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can think ahead, problem-solve independently, multitask efficiently, and provide exceptional customer service to our members, families, and staff.

Candidates should possess strong administrative and interpersonal skills. Be comfortable interacting with families, staff and individuals with developmental disabilities. This position requires maturity, initiative and the ability to problem solve proactively.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Includes:
  • 30-minute lunch break
  • One 15-minute paid break

Compensation

  • Pay is based on relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations and maintain office organization
  • Greet families, visitors, staff, and members in a warm and professional manner
  • Take daily attendance and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, tours, and meetings
  • Monitor office and program supplies and communicate inventory needs
  • Complete data entry, forms, filing, and administrative tasks
  • Assist with intake paperwork and general office coordination
  • Answer phones, emails, and respond to inquiries professionally
  • Support communication with families and community partners
  • Help showcase the facility to prospective families and visitors
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Assist leadership team with day-to-day operational support

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable using computers, email systems, and basic office software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently
  • Ability to think ahead and take initiative
  • Compassionate, patient, and sensitive to the needs of the population we serve

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Knowledge of NJ DDD services and systems is a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, social services, education, day programs, or similar environments preferred, but not required

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
