THE ROLE

As a Night Receptionist/Auditor you will assist in auditing of all charges and postings, correcting work as required, prepare the documentation for the new day. You will check-in and check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently and ensures the safety of the guests and the hotel throughout the night shift.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • To undertake Reception duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, to ensure a superb guest experience.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
  • All hotel features/services, hours of operation.
  • All room types, numbers, layout, décor, appointments, and location.
  • All room rates, special packages, and promotions.
  • Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
  • Scheduled daily group activities.
  • Process adjustments, rebates, paid outs, and credits as required.
  • Verify and makes corrections to the Room Rate Report.
  • Reconcile miscellaneous accounts.
  • Backup computer system files, and verify that all checks are closed, and closes and logs any open check in the Point of Sales(POS) system, print end of day reports.
  • Check that interfaces are up and running.
  • To understand the correct reservation procedures, take any reservations and accurately record reservations. For this you must have at least 1 year of Opera / Opera Cloud experience in a hotel environment
  • To be fully aware of the Accident Reporting Procedure, Maintenance Fault Procedure and Fire Policy.
  • To understand and adhere to the Resort´s and departmental Health & Safety Operating Policy.

Background & Skills

  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud, Opera or alternative brand PMS is a must
  • Experience of working in a hotel as a receptionist or in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Night audit experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • Fluency in Greek and high level of spoken English.
  • Dependable and flexible with work schedule, working in shifts and during weekends.
  • Experience of working according to brand standards is an advantage
  • Multi-lingual an advantage
  • High level of cultural awareness.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Exceptional listening skills with ability to quickly identify issues and opportunities.
  • Passionate approach to customer service, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.

What You Will Get In Return

  • EUR from 1 000 to 1 300 Net per month with benefits depending experience.
  • Accommodation in-house single room, meals, and 4 days off per month.
