Medical Receptionist – Interventional Spine and Pain Management Office

Position Overview: We are seeking a personable and organized Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a medical office setting, preferably in pain management or a related field. Experience with blood draws is highly preferred. This position requires excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, as well as the ability to efficiently manage patient check-ins, referrals, and other administrative duties integral to our practice. Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate scheduling.
- Answer phone calls promptly and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Verify insurance information and collect patient payments.
- Assist with patient referrals and medical records requests.
- Perform blood draws as needed and handle lab specimen processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, preferably in pain management or related healthcare field.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and billing procedures.
- Comfortable with basic medical procedures, including blood draws.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical assisting is a plus.
