Outpatient Physical Therapy Services at 3 Stockton Locations
Motion Physical Therapy is looking for a full time experienced (at least 2 years) medical receptionist to be the face and voice that greets all our patients at our Hammer Ln Clinic.
Compensation: $20.00 – $22.00.
Full Time Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, 401k, PTO (Paid-Time off), Holiday Pay.
Position Summary:
– Provides administrative support to the clinicians, authorization department and billing department
– Patient scheduling via phone and in person on a cloud based EMR system
– Appointment reminders by phone for new patients
– Prepping and auditing patient charts before and after their visits
– Checking patient insurance benefits online and via phone
– Submitting authorization requests to insurances via fax or internet
– Checking in patients for their appointments, including assisting in filling out all required forms
– Explaining insurance benefits to patients
– Collecting co-pays/payments/co-insurances and recording transactions
– Checking and sending faxes
– A LOT of Data Entry
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates for the Medical Receptionist position should:
– Have 2 years of medical/healthcare receptionist experience
– Be detail oriented, stay organized, be flexible, be able to multitask and have excellent communication skills
– Be a High School Graduate
– Type at least 45 WPM with 92% accuracy
– Have excellent telephone skills (Listening and speaking)
– Have basic knowledge of patient accounting and insurance systems (Co-pays, Deductible, Co-insurance)
– Have data entry and advanced computer skills for programs like Word, Excel and various cloud based programs
– Have a basic knowledge of the requirement for patient scheduling
– Be able to adapt quickly to office routine and to work with frequent interruptions
– Have knowledge in medical terminology and protocol
– Have knowledge of patients’ rights and medical-legal aspects for release of information (I.e., HIPAA guidelines)
– Be detail oriented, stay organized, be flexible, be able to multitask and have excellent communication skills
Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
