Medical Receptionist

Position Summary

Ohio Foot and Ankle Specialists is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Receptionist to join our Garrettsville location. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key part in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting daily office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and check-in patients in a professional and welcoming manner

Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage provider calendars

Verify patient demographics and insurance information

Collect co-pays and process payments accurately

Maintain patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and office staff

Assist with general administrative duties to support clinic operations

Ensure the front office area remains clean, organized, and patient-ready

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior medical office or customer service experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems

Preferred Skills

Experience with medical scheduling and insurance verification

Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

Work Environment

Fast-paced clinical setting

Requires sitting, standing, and interacting with patients throughout the day
