Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist in one of our primary care practices located in Ashburn, VA.
General Medical Receptionist responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients as they arrive at the office
- Confirming insurance eligibility
- Answering the phones and sending messages through the office electronic medical record
- Collecting co-pays and other patient payments
- Scheduling appointments
- Checking benefits for office procedures and surgeries
- Keeping the reception area clean and organized
- Contacting insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims
- Sending out patient invoices and other patient correspondence
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years Medical Receptionist experience
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently and on a team
- Must have problem-solving skills
- EMR experience preferred (Pulse and/or ECW)
- Professional demeanor
- Bi-lingual preferred, but not required
