- Assist with collection of co-pays and balances, processing payments accurately.
- Manage phone calls, faxes and office text messages, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Coordinate with medical staff, facilitating patient care and ensuring smooth office operations.
- Support the team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree as a "gap year" graduate is a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patient and staff.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred.
