Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine, a multi-specialty orthopedic and spine practice in Westfield, Morristown, West Orange, Ridgewood, and Middletown, NJ has an exciting opportunity to join our growing family and is seeking a part-time Medical Scheduler/Receptionist.
Experience working as a receptionist or scheduler and also in an Orthopedic or Sports Medicine office setting is a plus.
We are looking for a detail-oriented employee mostly for our Westfield location. The candidate needs to be detail oriented, a multi-tasker, and a team player. The candidate will be answering incoming calls, scheduling patients, checking patient insurance eligibility and benefits, and interacting with physicians, clinical staff, and patients daily.
The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment, offer great customer service and communication, be thoughtful, resourceful, and collaborative.
Job Function:
Process patient documents
Assist with phone calls
Work collaboratively with Medical and Clerical staff
Assist the practice with ZocDoc online physician scheduling
Manage a high volume of Provider and Patient inquiries.
Obtain proper insurance information, insurance cards, and identification
Verifying insurance coverage for each patient
Handling payments for services not covered by insurance Obtaining referrals for patients when they are not covered
Updating patient information/keeping records
Understand & adhere to all HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality & record keeping
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
