Medical Assistant (Full-Time Float) – Primary Care Clinic
The Primary Care of Wesley Chapel (PCWC)
Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
$18–$19/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and team-oriented Medical Assistant (Float) to join our team full-time. This role is unique in that you will be cross trained to support both clinical (back office) and administrative (front office) operations.
This is a FLOAT position, and candidates must be comfortable and confident working in both patient care and front desk environments as needed.
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting
- Understanding of both clinical and administrative workflows
- Willingness and flexibility to float between front and back office duties
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
Back Office (Clinical Duties):
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist providers with patient exams and procedures
- Administer injections and perform basic clinical tasks
- Perform EKGs, POCT testing, and specimen collection (MUST)
- Phlebotomy (MUST)
- Document patient information accurately in EMR
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
Front Office (Administrative Duties):
- Greet and check-in/check-out patients
- Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling
- Verify insurance and collect co-pays
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry
- Assist with Prior Authorizations
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients
