- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate documentation for each patient visit
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as patient intake, medication administration, specimen collection, and basic life support procedures
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness to uphold infection control standards
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and insurance or billing inquiries to support administrative efficiency
- Support medical procedures by assisting with X-ray imaging, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and basic anatomy or physiology-related tasks
- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, clinical notes, and procedural documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
Requirements
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical administrative support functions such as intake processing and vital signs collection in Pediatrics preferred but not required, will train.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude toward teamwork and patient engagement
- Medical Assistant license or Pre Med or Foreign Medical license required
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Proficient Spanish preferred
- Commute 15 minutes or less preferred
