We are looking for a seasoned Licensing Manager with General Contracting experience to support our licensing and compliance operations. Ideal candidates would have their General Contracting License in California or Arizona, at least 5 years of experience as a GC, and construction compliance background from previous roles. Job Summary: The Licensing Manager is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing all licensing and permitting functions of requests for proposals and contract projects. This position is considered safety-sensitive because it performs duties in the residential or commercial premises of a customer and may operate a motor vehicle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides high-level clerical, administrative support and assistance to the sales and operations teams, including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents.
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline.
- Conducts cost analysis and research, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
- Oversees contract review, revisions, negotiations, compliance needs, and additions and adherence by all parties.
- Collaborates with necessary parties to address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout a project.
- Acts as a liaison between the company, clients, and general contractors.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, safety standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in time management, contract management, project coordination, and project scheduling.
- Strong understanding of the construction/architectural industry, and nuances of government contract assessment and management

- Thorough understand of contracts, plans, specifications, permits, registration, licenses, and regulations.
- Thorough understanding of engineering blueprints, architectural portals/specs/development, and other construction drawings.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, drive, walk for 2-10 hours per day.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, finger, grasp, write, and perform repetitive motions.
- Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects with the human body occasionally.
- Hearing and speaking ability sufficient to carry on a conversation with another individual (or groups of individuals) in person, over the telephone, and virtual video communication applications.
- Visual ability sufficient to read and produce printed material and information displayed on a computer screen.
Requirements:
- Possess a General Contractor License in Arizona and/or California.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years minimum experience as a General Contractor in construction required
- OSHA 10 or the ability to obtain
- Possess or can obtain and maintain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License & clean motor vehicle report, 21 years of age as required by insurance to drive.
- Limited travel.
- Successfully passes the 60-day probationary period where all credentials are completed, and orientation metrics are met.
Pay: $100,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
