Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our team. In addition to supporting the property management operations, this position’s primary responsibility is leasing and customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of property management practices, and the ability to effectively communicate with tenants and vendors.
Duties
- Assist in the management of daily property operations, including leasing activities and tenant relations.
- Maintain knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 requirements to ensure compliance.
- Utilize property management software for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
- Handle administrative tasks such as preparing contracts, managing files, and performing general office duties.
- Support property maintenance efforts by coordinating repairs and ensuring timely responses to tenant requests.
- Engage in conflict management and resolution with tenants to maintain positive relationships.
- Conduct property showings and upsell available units to prospective tenants.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to occupancy rates, leasing activity, and maintenance requests.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in property management, leasing and sales is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with tenants.
- Proficient in negotiation techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
- Knowledge of sales principles as they relate to property leasing.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong understanding of administrative processes including data entry, filing, and office organization.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
