Duties

  • Greet prospective residents warmly, providing detailed tours of available units and community amenities
  • Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, including presenting lease options and upselling features
  • Maintain accurate property and tenant records using Yardi, OneSite, and other property management software
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other legal requirements
  • Handle lease agreements, contracts, and legal administrative tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Conduct tenant screenings, including background checks and credit reports, adhering to landlord-tenant law
  • Address resident concerns promptly, resolving conflicts effectively through negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Assist with property maintenance coordination and facilitate smooth move-in/move-out processes
  • Support office administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and customer relationship management

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property leasing or property management; real estate administrative experience is highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law
  • Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Office software, and data entry systems
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining positive relationships with residents and team members
  • Experience in sales or upselling techniques to maximize occupancy rates and revenue opportunities
  • Demonstrated conflict management skills to handle tenant issues diplomatically and efficiently
  • Administrative experience including filing, record keeping, contract management, and facilities management knowledge is preferred

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
