Duties
- Supervise and mentor front desk staff to ensure efficient appointment scheduling, client communication, and administrative workflows
- Manage medical billing and collections accurately, ensuring timely processing of payments and insurance claims
- Coordinate with veterinary technicians and doctors to facilitate smooth patient flow and treatment plans
- Maintain detailed and organized medical records, including laboratory results, treatment notes, and vaccination histories
- Handle pet check-ins and check-outs with expertise in animal restraint, dog handling, and pet care procedures
- Assist with kennel management by overseeing animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, cleaning, when needed
- Support veterinary critical care activities by understanding veterinary terminology, aseptic techniques, and emergency protocols
- Schedule appointments ensuring, smooth work flow.
- Ensure compliance with animal safety standards through knowledge of animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and proper handling procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and critical care practices
- Hands-on experience with animal handling, restraint techniques, dog training, pet grooming, and kennel management
- Familiarity with medical collections processes and pet care protocols
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a busy environment while smiling and maintaining professionalism
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and aseptic techniques to support clinical activities when necessary
- Prior experience with Avimark and fluent in Spanish is a plus but not required
