Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Patient Services Representative to oversee front desk operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical administrative processes, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and efficient healthcare environment. This role requires a proactive approach to managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. The Lead Patient Services Representative will play a vital role in enhancing patient satisfaction while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
Duties
- Supervise daily front desk activities, including patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to patient services staff to promote professional growth and high performance.
- Oversee documentation review and ensure accurate data entry within Electronic Health Record (EHR) .
- Coordinate with clinical teams to facilitate patient intake processes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with insurance verification procedures.
- Maintain organized medical records and support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling.
- Foster a positive patient experience by demonstrating excellent customer service skills and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or as a Medical Receptionist with strong clerical skills in a healthcare setting.
- Extensive knowledge of EMR systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management standards compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising front desk or patient services teams in a clinical environment.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and typing accuracy .
