About Us:
At Smart Dog Dallas, we believe dogs are social beings who deserve a safe, happy, and healthy environment. As an owner-operated facility specializing in open-play daycare, boarding, and training, we are the "smarter" way to do dog care. We’re looking for a highly organized administrative whiz to be the face of our facility for both our human clients and their furry family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience: Act as the first point of contact—greeting clients, answering phones, managing emails, and giving facility tours.
  • The Command Center: Manage the daily schedule for daycare, boarding, and training appointments with high precision.
  • Safety First: Maintain detailed health and vaccination records for every dog in our care to ensure a safe environment.
  • Dog Logistics: Handle dogs safely during check-ins and check-outs, including proper door control and leash handling.
  • Facility Pride: Keep the lobby and front desk organized, presentable, and sanitized.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our animal care team to report any health or behavior changes noticed during check-in.

What We’re Looking For:

  • The Ultimate Multi-tasker: Ability to shift attention quickly between tasks under distracting conditions without losing accuracy.
  • The "Dog Nerd": A passion for dogs and a willingness to learn canine behavior and body language.
  • Reliability: We need someone punctual and dependable—our pups and their parents rely on us every day!
  • Physical Ability: Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds, being on your feet, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Perks:

  • A fast-paced, high-energy work environment where every day is different.
  • Work at a woman-owned, owner-operated facility that values connection and growth.
  • Training opportunities—if you’re interested in advancing with your knowledge of animal behavior, we’re happy to assist you in getting nationally certified!
