Role Summary
The Development Events Intern will work alongsidethe
Fundraising Events teamandbe responsible for supporting theteam in hitting itsobjectives. At the end of the internship, the Development
Intern willhave gainedexperience in areas suchasinvolunteer management,fundraising,event planning, and donor engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Responsible foraccurateand up-to-date data entry for all event related lists and mailings. Must have the knowledge of Excel spreadsheet formatting and sortingin order tomanage event databases and table assignments.

Lead solicitationforsponsorand auction donors.

Conduct event researchregardingvenues, vendors, event supplies, sponsor ships, and donors.

General administrative duties including,butnotlimited to,arranging event insurance and payments, preparing agendas, preparing meeting minutes, calendaring, andpreparing for meetings.

Producing nametags, tent cards, mailing labels, and other signageappropriate forthe events.

Assistonsite event set-up, registration, logistical support, and clean-up on day of events.

Create E-communications and work with events team on creative elements using Canva.

Work with Operations to collect, analyze, andreport outpost-event data.

Support Events Associate with storage, usage,transporting,and display of materials in office and onsite at events.

Assist with other critical development initiatives of the department on an as needed basis.
Basic Qualifications
-
Availability to work at30flexible hours per weekfor the duration of the school semester.

Hours maysometimesinclude evenings and weekends

Must becapable and available to work from our Hyannisofficein hybrid arrangement

Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Excel,PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service;salesor fundraisingexperience a plus

Excellent professional writing and oral communication skills

Ability to successfully work independently and in a team environment
