Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Coordinator to support sales operations within the construction materials industry. This role works closely with inside and outside sales representatives, customers, contractors, architects, engineers, and supply dealers to ensure smooth order processing, project coordination, and customer support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to inside and outside sales teams.
- Communicate with customers, contractors, dealers, architects, and engineers regarding products, orders, and project needs.
- Prepare and coordinate product samples for customers and prospects.
- Assist with job quotes, order entry, production tracking, deliveries, and project closeouts.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate job files and required documentation.
- Participate in sales and safety meetings and follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions and support compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of inside sales support experience required.
- At least 1 year of experience in the construction or transportation industry preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction materials, roofing products, or building code standards preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of office, plant, and outdoor work environments.
- Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, varying weather conditions, and temperature extremes.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
