Job Overview
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator based out of Spokane Valley, Washington to support multi-state HR operations in a union-involved environment. This is an in-office position and requires daily on-site presence. This role is responsible for HR administration, onboarding, benefits support, employee relations assistance, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The position requires a detailed-oriented professional with a high level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential employee information.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multi-state onboarding and new hire processing
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and COBRA
  • Assist with leave administration including Washington Paid Sick Leave and Paid Family & Medical Leave programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws
  • Process employment verifications and personnel changes
  • Support workers’ compensation reporting and case tracking
  • Assist with HR policy administration and compliance consistency across states
  • Support EEO, new hire reporting, and other compliance reporting
  • Coordinate with union representatives regarding workforce matters, dispatches, and contract compliance
  • Assist in administering and interpreting collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
  • Support grievance tracking and documentation
  • Handle, maintain, and protect sensitive and confidential employee and company information with a high degree of discretion
  • Maintain office organization, supplies, and general administrative support functions
  • Assist with scheduling, mail distribution, and coordination of meetings or interviews
  • Provide general administrative HR support

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; HR or related degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in a multi-state HR environment preferred
  • Union or collective bargaining agreement experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance principles
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
